The textile machinery manufacturing industry is divided into two categories: those that manufacture complete machines and those that manufacture specialized parts (such as spindles, cradles, rings, travelers, needles, needle cloths, heddles, and stop-warp pads). Factories manufacturing complete textile machinery have a relatively small proportion of specialized equipment, allowing them to switch to other types of machinery under certain conditions. Factories manufacturing specialized parts have a larger proportion of specialized equipment and production lines (especially for needles and needle cloths), making product switching more difficult. Among various processing trades, the proportion of casting work is gradually decreasing, while the proportion of cold stamping, grinding, electroplating, and polishing is gradually increasing. CNC machine tools and multi-station automatic machine tools are partially replacing specialized machine tools, enhancing production adaptability and flexibility.

Textile machinery is highly technological, structurally complex, and has many parts. Before leaving the factory, it requires pre-assembly or partial assembly, followed by production trials or partial production trials to ensure the machine quality meets requirements. Textile machinery factories all have well-equipped testing departments.
